Small businesses, solar providers, nonprofits, and others are encouraged to participate in free grant writing workshops to learn how to prepare and apply for funds from the Rural Energy for American Program (REAP) and the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG) programs. While the workshops are specific to these programs, participants will gain insight into the application process that can be applied to all grant programs.
REAP offers grant funding and guaranteed loan financing to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements.
RBDG is available to governments, collaborative organizations, and programs to support targeted technical assistance that leads to the development or expansion of private businesses in rural areas.
