Manufacturing Day 2017

MFG DAY 2017 IN REVIEW

This was New Mexico’s fifth annual celebration. Gov. Susana Martinez proclaimed October Manufacturing Month, and 11 cities, towns and counties issued their own proclamations, which were read by mayors, county commissioners and city councilors. Representatives from the offices of Rep. Michele Lujan Grisham, Rep. Ben Ray Lujan and Sen. Martin Heinrich attended events.

Thirty-one manufacturers opened their doors for public and private tours. More than 350 students from 10 schools received private tours of 16 manufacturing facilities. Other educational events resulted in the introduction of more than 3500 students to careers in manufacturing.
