Are you interested in securing new business in a highly competitive world? Is your company ISO registered? Our NM9000 program is the first step to help you prepare for ISO certification.
ISO 9001 is a quality management standard recognized by more than 170 countries and required by most major companies and governments in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Asia of its suppliers.
The New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) in collaboration with the New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) offers the ISO 9001 training to small businesses across the state at a low cost. Contact us for more information about the program.
For more information or to register, visit the NM9000 website.
The program was developed by two of the leading organizations that provide assistance to manufacturers – the MEP and the U.S. Export Assistance Centers of the U.S. Department of Commerce – and is offered in collaboration with numerous state trade offices and other regional partners throughout the country. The program involves a unique combination of group and individual work as well as personal coaching which allows companies to extract information that is critical to their export success.
Companies participate in three 1-day group session scheduled over a three-month period. Between each session, with the help of a coach, each company works on the development and implementation of their international growth plan. By the end of the program every company will have developed their own international growth plan and accelerated their export sales process.
The training sessions are part of an integrated suite of tools and services. The concepts and practices taught in these training sessions are powerful and proven. They’ve helped companies significantly improve their operations from shop floor to front office.
We offer both public and private training sessions on the principles of lean manufacturing. One of the strengths of the curriculum is its simulation-based approach. In a live simulation our experts will guide you through the transition from a traditional to a lean manufacturing environment eliminating waste and increasing productivity, thus enabling you to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Funding is available for qualifying businesses wishing to participate in the New Mexico MEP Lean Concepts Training. Funding is offered through the New Mexico Small Business Assistance Program with Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories. Please contact us to verify eligibility.
Training sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 5:00 p.m.
Casual attire is appropriate.
Complete and submit our online registration form and a New Mexico MEP representative will contact you soon.
